With the fact that over 85% of Tanzanian schools have no access to power/national grid electricity ACTT has come up with a solution and in other ways, a part of the solution to this by specifically designing a Mobile Solar Computer Unit that will eventually move around targeting the power isolated remote locations/schools in the region, providing basic IT/Computer skills to teachers and students at the same time sensitizing and creating awareness of the use and importance of ICT for National development.

This Endeavour requires the efforts and support from all development stakeholders such as Government ICT department at District and Regional levels, private partners in IT profession, Local government authorities, key players in the education sector and the general public as a whole.

Though a number of individuals have practically shown efforts and support in making this idea work out for the good of the society, we still need a great deal of moral, physical and financial support to make this whole project a success.

As a first step, we would like to work hand in hand with the local governments at District levels by setting memoranda, re-visit government ICT policies, budgets, directions and any available moral or physical support for the project.
